Here is a series of photos showing the visual effect of choosing different items for your display. These are all OK but clearly some are better than others, for example some may think the finer stands show the bonsai off better, rather than the root wood style stands. Even then some may prefer the lighter coloured New Guinea Rosewood stand in preference to the darker Cocobolo stand. Then compare the different Jita in the makeup of each of the displays. There is a choice here between a thicker and thinner, large jita unifying the display and smaller detached jita creating negative space between the tree and the companion. Yet still, a choice between different sized and shaped huts.
Displaying any bonsai with a companion piece is the nicest way to show it off. The simplest companion is just a suitably sized pot of grass however some bonsai are beautifully paired with suiseki, figurines, kusamono or sculpture. You just need to remember that the bonsai is the focus of the display and any other items added to complete your desired picture, should not detract from the bonsai.
So, if you have a miniature bonsai of this approximate size, this may give you some ideas about how to nicely display it at home or club or exhibition. For reference, the pot the Bougainvillea is potted in measures 8 cm square at the base and 9.5 cm square at the top.
Except for the bonsai which is still in training and not for sale, all other items are available for sale on this shop.
