Display Board - Jita

This Jita is part of The Mulga Series items I have been making. It measures 23 x 12 x 0.7 cm. This weathered Mulga comes in mostly curved pieces, so the Jita has been made by sawing the raw Mulga into strips, then slicing those strips as thinly as I can on a bandsaw, flattening the cut side, then joining them together again side by side, in the same order. The top face of the wood is then gently shaped along each join to disguise the join, sanded flattish, then given multiple coats of hard oil/ varnish mix. Bit of work!
