This root wood style stand is made from old Australian Red Gum. It is 29.5 cm high and the top platform measures 18 x 13 cm at its widest parts. This is a very solid stand that took many hours to complete. It featured in BCI Magazine Q1 in 2018 and since then I have modified to the top area of the stand to give it better visual balance and re-coated it. The wood itself is at least 100 years old. Carving it was like trying to carve metal!
